The mission of the Colorado Poets Association is to create a statewide community of poets and poetry readers; to nurture and promote poetry as a literary art in general and as an essential and vital part of the artistic and cultural life of Colorado at both the local and state levels; to support, promote, and raise the profile of Colorado poets both within and without the state of Colorado; and to advocate for poetry as a gateway to a love of reading and writing, which is the foundation for the love of all learning.
